Married: | George William LUND in the second quarter 1893 (GRO ref: Sculcoates 9d 248). George William LUND was born in the fourth quarter of 1866 in Market Weighton (GRO ref: Pocklington 9d 67) to Hannah Lund and christened 03 October 1866. |
Occupation: | In the third quarter of 1894 their first child, Annie, was born in Denton, Lancashire,
now Greater Manchester, three miles from Hyde, Cheshire (GRO ref: Ashton 8d 489) where
Aggie's uncle, John Harper CROMPTON, had his building company. In 1901 they lived in
Audenshaw, also close to Hyde, where George was a foreman bricklayer. George being born in
Market Weighton may have know John Harper CROMPTON.
At some time after the 1911 census the LUNDs emigrated to Australia, with William and Freddie, to Macquarie Street, Sydney. In 1976 Doreen LUND, granddaughter of Agnes, visited the UK as Doreen SCRIVENER, wife of Roy, who worked for Brinton's Carpets. At the moment their arrival in Sydney is not recorded in the National Archives of Australia. |

5. Albert James CROMPTON

Married: | fourth quarter of 1908 Maria Kemp of Bainton. (GRO ref: Beverley 9d 216), who was born in the fourth quarter of 1878 (GRO ref: Driffield 9d 329) |
Occupation: | A master butcher who lived in Middleton-on-the-Wold in a house with garden and orchard. The slaughter house was next door to the house and the blood from this was spread on the garden. Maria had a tea shop and bed and breakfast. |
Died: | 29 December 1929 (GRO ref: Driffield 9d 367 ) and Maria on 26 March 1948
(GRO ref: Buckrose 2a 44. Both are buried at Middleton-on-the-Wold. There were no children. On the death of Maria the house was sold for £1525, £250 of which was passed to Geoffrey CROMPTON and used for the purchase of his Barnoldswick house. |
