It is possible that Frederick William was the asylum attendant at the institution located in the area now known as Willerby, once part of Cottingham. Later named Hull Mental Hospital and then De La Pole Hospital, the asylum appears to have been situated in what is now Willerby Business Park. The remaining buildings are said to now house Humber NHS Foundation Trust (Willerby Hill, Beverley Road, HU10 6ED). Waterworks Cottages exist south of Kingston Road (HU10 6RA) some 1¾ miles (2.9km) from the asylum site.

Their children were:

Frederick William JACOB died on 03 September 1927 (Probate GRO ref: Sculcoates 9d 192) and Emily in the first quarter of 1931 (GRO ref: Sculcoates 9d 371) aged 59.
