1825 Info 2 Betsy Ann Crompton
Edmond's widow

Ancestry's 1861 Flamborough transcription joins Schedules 125 and 126, even though they are two separate farms on the census page. Hannah CROMPTON, the widow of Richardson CROMPTON, born 1815, lived next door to her sister-in-law Besty Ann CROMPTON. The Enumerator struck through his first attempt to record their relationship. It seems that, at the Farm House, Richard KINGSTON should have been recorded as Head and Betsy Ann as his sister.

James William BROWN - the first child of Edmond's wife's second marriage to John Brown

James William was born in the second quarter of 1864 (GRO ref: Driffield 9d 259). In the third quarter of 1895 he married Harriet FORBES (GRO ref: Bridlington 9d 537). Harriet was born on 01 November 1866 (GRO ref: Bridlington 9d 281) and was christened in Bridlington on 28 November 1866.

It seems that from the 1891 census, when he was 37, James William had an affinity to the sea, presumably out of Bridlington.
