1811 Info 1c for Elizabeth Crompton
Her marriage to Richard Hornsey



Two years after the birth of her illegitimate daughter Paullina, Elizabeth CROMPTON married, in Beverley, in the third quarter of 1839 Richard HORNSEY. (GRO ref: Beverley 23, 7) Richard HORNSEY was born/christened on 23 October1800. Paulina's illegitimate daughter was left with her parents in Nafferton and to, arguably, the most deprived life of all of Thomas Richardson CROMPTON's line. Elizabeth and Richard then moved to North Newbald where several of the Cromptons lived.

In 1871 it is not clear if Elizabeth is living with her now widowed daughter or just visiting. Her husband Richard, though alive, has not yet been found.
