HENRY CROMPTON John and Ann's third child

Henry was born on 10 July 1840 (GRO ref: Driffield 23 36)and christened in Nafferton on 15 August 1840. He died as a bachelor on 15 February1880 (GRO ref: Driffield 9d 223).

Henry's will was Proved on 31 March 1880:

Henry Crompton The Will of Henry Crompton late of Nafferton in the County of York Farmer, who died 15th February 1880 at Nafferton was proved at the Principle Registry by Thomas Crompton of Lowthorpe in the County of York, the brother, and Robert Christy Dunn of Wilton in the County of York, Farmers, Executors Personal Estate under £4,000

The following year the Executors began the process of selling stock.

ALICE CROMPTON John and Ann's fourth child

Alice was born on 22 June 1842 and was christened at Nafferton on 07 August 1842. She married her husband William LOVEL, in the second quarter of 1861 (GRO ref: Bridlington 9d 437). William was born in 1838 in Boynton, Bridlington the son of a Harpham farmer. Harpham is near Nafferton.

It is likely that Alice died in the fourth quarter of 1922 (GRO ref: Helmsley 9d 437) aged 80. It is possible that William died in the third quarter of 1919 (GRO ref: York 9d 3) aged 81.
